South End
Victorian bowfronts around Union Park and Rutland Square, largely converted to condominiums with parlour-floor kitchens. Galley layouts against a party wall are the rule, and integrated refrigeration is boxed in tight to the cabinetry.

What South End throws at us
Bowfront condominiums put the kitchen on the parlour floor against a party wall, and integrated refrigeration is boxed into cabinetry with barely a finger of clearance. That clearance is the whole story: base grilles blocked by trim, condensers pulling warm air off a radiator, and drawers that will not seat because the run has moved with the building. Most of what we do here is airflow, drainage and door alignment, in that order.

Repairs we run in South End
- Refrigerator Repair Built-in Sub-Zero columns and over-under units across the city, from garden-level kitchens on the Hill to condominium galleys in the South End. The work runs to sealed-system cooling loss, dual-compressor behaviour, defrost and control faults, and the door and gasket wear that follows years of hard city use.
- Freezer Repair Under-counter freezer drawers and full-height freezer columns that frost over, run warm, or cycle without stopping. Frost pattern and drain behaviour usually say whether the fault sits in defrost, in air circulation, or in the sealed system itself.
- Ice Maker Repair Clear-ice machines and freezer-mounted ice modules that stop producing, freeze up at the fill tube, or push out hollow, cloudy or undersized cubes. Fill valves, supply lines and a stalled harvest cycle are the usual suspects behind older city plumbing.
- Wine Cooler Repair Single and dual-zone wine storage that drifts off its set point, sweats behind the glass, or hums loudly enough to carry into the next room. Zone control, door seals and condenser airflow account for most of these calls.

The cabinet hummed loud enough to carry into the bedroom next door. Compressor mounts had perished and it was resting against the surround. He fitted new mounts and shimmed it clear. Quiet again.

Compressor never shut off in our parlour floor kitchen. Turned out the door was not sealing at the bottom hinge after years of being tugged open. New gasket and a hinge adjustment fixed the constant running.

Ice cream had gone soft while the panel still read zero. The sensor was off by several degrees. Replaced, then checked against his own thermometer.
